Two speakers, Dr. Ellen Wiebe, a physician who has been instrumental in providing education on Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) practices in BC, will talk about how people make the choice to have medical assistance in dying and what steps they and the doctors need to take to make it happen. Then a representative from KORU, a locally owned and operated funeral business, will provide information on how to incorporate regular funeral planning (administrative needs, cremation, burial, ceremony planning, etc.) into the MAiD plan.
