In this classic English farce by Ray Cooney, mild-mannered accountant Henry mistakenly trades his briefcase with that of a man on the train home, only to discover a fortune inside. Henry assumes it is illicit cash and decides to keep it. Knowing that the former owner must have his briefcase, he rushes home to book one-way fares to Barcelona, telling his confused wife to leave everything behind.

The money draws their best friends, a crooked cop, a good cop, and the dangerous Mr. Big who wants to reclaim his money into a tangle of false identities and stories. A detective rings the doorbell, thinking Henry was soliciting in the pub, but he was sitting in the loo counting the cash. Another detective arrives; a man with Henry's briefcase was found with bullet holes in his head.

Madcap hilarity ensues!

An “On Our Feet!” staged-reading from Western Gold, directed by Anna Hagan and featuring Dave Campbell, Bernard Cuffling, Tanja Dixon-Warren, Keith Martin Gordey, Terry Kelly, Annabel Kershaw, and Jack Rigg.
